Summary of the role
This role is a dual-function position combining engineering team leadership (%) with hands-on project delivery (%). The individual is responsible for leading and developing the engineering team while actively contributing to project execution, ensuring high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery across systems such as DCS, MES, and software solutions.
The role works closely with global engineering hubs, sales, project management, and customers to ensure high-quality, standardized, and cost-effective delivery, while driving a strong customer-centric, safety-first, and commercially aware culture.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
. Team Leadership & Development
1. Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers across disciplines (, DCS, MES, software)
2. Set clear objectives, manage performance, and drive employee engagement
3. Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline aligned with business growth and technology evolution
4. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
. Project Delivery & Customer Engagement
5. Contribute hands-on to project execution, including engineering design, configuration, testing, and commissioning support
6. Ensure delivery in line with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
7. Support sales and pre-sales activities by presenting engineering capabilities and contributing to solution design
8. Participate in customer engagements, including technical discussions, workshops, and site visits
. Operational Excellence & Governance
9. Drive standardization of engineering processes, tools, and best practices
10. Lead continuous improvement initiatives
11. Conduct project reviews, root cause analysis, and implement lessons learned
12. Ensure compliance with HSEQ and applicable industry standards
. Collaboration & Resource Management
13. Work closely with global engineering hubs to optimize delivery models
14. Support resource planning, utilization, and capacity management across projects
15. Enable effective coordination between local teams and global delivery centers
16. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Project Management to align priorities and execution plans
. Customer & Commercial Focus
17. Drive a strong “Think Customer” culture, ensuring solutions meet customer expectations and deliver value
18. Promote commercial awareness within the team, including cost control, margin improvement, and change management
19. Support bid/no-bid decisions and technical risk assessments during pursuit phase
20. Strengthen domain expertise (, Life Sciences, process industries) to enhance customer value proposition
Who You Are:
You are a results-driven professional with strong technical expertise in industrial automation (including DCS, MES, SCADA, and software solutions), proven experience delivering complex multidisciplinary projects, solid leadership and people management capabilities, excellent stakeholder communication skills, strong commercial and financial awareness, experience in global matrix organizations, and a continuous improvement mindset.
For This Role, You Will Need:
21. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Chemical, or related field)
22. At least + years of experience in engineering/project delivery within industrial automation or process industries
23. Prior experience in a team lead or supervisory role preferred
24. Experience working with global engineering hubs or shared service models is an advantage
25. Exposure to regulated industries (, Life Sciences, Oil & Gas, Chemicals) is beneficial
26. Familiarity with Emerson / similar platforms (, DeltaV, AspenTech, MES solutions) is a plus
