HARDWARE DESIGN ENGINEER - ANTWERP (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONWe're currently recruiting for a Hardware Design Engineer who will play a key role in the development of next-generation electronic products and systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating hardware solutions that form the backbone of products, from early concept through to production and deployment.You will work across the full hardware development lifecycle, contributing to system architecture decisions, detailed circuit and PCB design, prototyping, testing, and product optimization. This is a hands-on engineering role that requires both strong technical expertise and practical problem-solving skills.The ideal candidate enjoys working at the intersection of innovation and execution, translating ideas into reliable, manufacturable, and high-performance hardware. You will collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and product success.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop hardware systems, including schematics, PCB layouts, and circuit designsSelect appropriate components based on performance, cost, availability, and reliabilityPerform circuit simulation, analysis, and validation to ensure design integrityCollaborate with firmware, mechanical, and system engineers to integrate hardware solutionsCreate and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reportsSupport prototyping, testing, debugging, and failure analysis of hardware systemsEnsure designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelinesOptimize designs for manufacturability (DFM), testability (DFT), and cost efficiencySupport production ramp-up and resolve manufacturing issues as neededRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fieldStrong experience in analog and/or digital circuit designProficiency with PCB design tools (e.G., Altium Designer, Cadence, KiCad, or similar)Solid understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollersExperience with schematic capture, simulation tools, and hardware debuggingKnowledge of power electronics, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC principlesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and datasheetsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailThe Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
