Hauptaufgaben
As a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist, you will:
- Have the responsibility to operate and supervise a team engaged in a variety of major functions including stock control, material management, and warehousing.
- Prepare operating instructions, review completed work to ensure standards are met.
- Establish work leader jobs, train, and instruct employees in proper techniques.
- Maintain liaison with representatives.
- Personally analyze and manage stockage of items based on density of equipment, seasonal fluctuations, budgetary constraints, cost analysis of procurement practices ...
- Review, analyze, and make necessary adjustments in order to capture and utilize information for managerial efficiency in providing support and mission accomplishment.
- Determine budget requirements and coordinate with Resource Management on funding for supplies and equipment.
- Identify problems and recommend solutions.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
PROFILE
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of experience in the same or a similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position, as described in the KSA's section. To be creditable, experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (BA-07).
Substitution of Education: A Master degree (or equivalent) successfully completed in a related field (e.g. Supply Chain Management) is qualifying at the BA-09 level.
Foreign education must be evaluated for Belgian equivalency. More information can be found at: www.enseignement.be.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA's):
- Knowledge of a wide range of supply regulations and principles, concepts and methodologies in one or more of the technical supply specializations to provide assistance concerning supply management techniques, documentation and reporting requirements and procedures.
- Ability to resolve problems of a procedural nature in supply operations, planning, and program management.
- Knowledge of performing analytical assignments involving issues associated with supply management and operations.
- Skill in preparing procedures for annual inventories and conducting investigations to determine causes of inventory discrepancies.

ORGANIZATION AND PLACE OF DUTY
US Army in Belgium is an American government agency whose mission is to provide logistical and administrative support to the US personnel at NATO and SHAPE in Belgium.
This vacancy is at the 405th Army Field Support Brigade, Zutendaal, Belgium. The 405th AFSB is the headquarters of the US Army Materiel Command in Europe, responsible for all logistics, acquisition and technology activities in the European theater.
DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER
•Permanent, full-time (38 hours/week)

•Salary: From 4,923.53 EUR gross/month
