What You Will Be Doing
As reliability engineer you are responsible to improve the reliability, operability and maintainability of all production facilities, energy installations, structures and buildings of the business unit CSM Olen. On a daily basis you will work in close cooperation with the production and maintenance department to achieve the targets and with engineering for new projects.
* Responsible for the optimal functioning of the production installations of the business unit RBM Olen refining.
* Driving the transition from reactive maintenance to proactive asset management by maximizing the reliability of the equipment at an economically optimal Total Cost of Ownership.
* Organising proactive Reliability Centreled Maintenance (RCM) sessions and reactive root cause analyses. From these you define the best maintenance strategy, deduce inspection plans and develop or optimise maintenance and operating instructions.
* Looking at critical equipment and initiating continuous improvement based on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
* Coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams consisting of Production Managers, Maintenance Managers, Project Engineers, Supervisors, Operators and craftsmen during RCM sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Sharing best practices within the reliability team.
* Assisting operational maintenance with major breakdowns when needed.
* Managing the Life Cycle Management process used in new investment projects, including the legal aspects (compliance).
Who We Are Looking For
Education
* Master degree (technical) or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of experience in maintenance/reliability engineering, preferably within the process industry.
Technical Skills
* In‑depth knowledge of maintenance methods, preventive and predictive maintenance techniques and the methodologies used to improve the availability of installations (RCM, FMEA, …).
* Technical knowledge in electromechanics (hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, etc.), maintenance techniques and basic knowledge of different materials.
* Good knowledge of SAP‑PM and maintenance work processes (e.g. work order management).
* Fluent in Dutch and English, with sufficient knowledge of French and German to understand and communicate technical instruction documents.
Managerial Skills
* Translate department objectives into an action plan.
* Knowledge of didactics principles to transfer knowledge (lead meetings) and participate/lead in improvement sessions.
* Ability to choose the right people for multi‑disciplinary teams and create team spirit.
* Possess the necessary people skills to introduce new proactive working methods.
