NET Developer Consultant (On-site | Brussels)
Are you a passionate .NET Developer ready to take on a new challenge within a high-impact international environment? Our client — a leading European institution — is looking for a Developer Consultant with strong experience in Microsoft Azure, ASP.NET Core, and Angular to join their team in Brussels (on-site).
Location: Brussels, Belgium (on-site)
Contract type: Full-time, long-term freelance contract
Working hours: Mon–Fri, 8 hours/day with core hours (10–12h & 15–17h CET)
Key Responsibilities
* Develop scalable applications on Microsoft Azure using ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and Angular.
* Design and build microservices using clean code principles, CQRS, OData, AutoMapper, and .NET Aspire.
* Create robust frontend applications with Angular 18+, TypeScript, RxJS, and testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma).
* Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and database structures.
* Migrate legacy ASP.NET MVC applications to modern Azure-hosted solutions.
* Implement and maintain both NoSQL (Cosmos DB) and relational databases (MS SQL).
* Deploy and scale services on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
* Build and manage REST APIs and ensure secure system integrations.
* Perform automated tests (unit, integration, E2E) and manage data transformations (SQL, JSON, XML).
Your Skillset
* Proficiency in C#, TypeScript, and modern development best practices.
* Experience with:
* Azure services and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Data integration and transformation (Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric)
* Testing tools: Selenium, Playwright
* Strong database management (SQL Server, Cosmos DB)
* Agile methodologies and DevOps mindset
Preferred Certifications (a plus, not mandatory)
* Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
* Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
* DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
* Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer (70-483), MCSD (70-487)
Working Conditions
* This is a 100% on-site role at the EEAS premises in Brussels.
* Must adhere to the standard working hours and organizational protocols.
* Candidates must be able to work legally in the EU and manage their own transport.
