Our client, a prestigious hotel located in the heart of Ghent, is entering an exciting new chapter. With newly renovated rooms, a revitalized brand identity, and an ambitious people-first strategy, the property is poised for a strong leap forward—and we’re looking for a dynamic Head of Sales to lead this transformation on the commercial front.
As Head of Sales, you’ll be the driving force behind the hotel’s commercial strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, you will:
* Develop and execute a robust commercial plan that aligns with business objectives and brand positioning
* Represent the hotel as a key face of the property, building and nurturing a strong network locally and internationally
* Work closely with the General Manager and Revenue team to optimize performance, identify new market segments, and grow existing accounts
* Lead and coach the Sales & Events team to deliver high-impact service and sales results
* Be the central link between key stakeholders, clients, and intermediary partners, ensuring seamless communication and relationship management
* Contribute to broader commercial strategies, including participation in major strategic bids and multi-property opportunities
Profile
* A natural leader and influencer who knows how to inspire action, even without direct reports
* Proven sales experience in the hospitality sector, ideally in an above-property or strategic commercial role
* Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to spot and convert business opportunities across multiple channels
* Excellent relationship builder, skilled at stakeholder management and growing strategic partnerships
* Goal-oriented and self-motivated, with a passion for results and performance
* Familiarity with luxury or lifestyle hospitality brands is a plus
