Position
As a Compliance Officer, you are responsible for:
* Contribute to the development and execution of regular second line controls and monitoring tasks, including client and employee surveillance alerts.
* Advise and support the businesses on applicable laws and regulations, including the review of new products, business initiatives, control framework and marketing material.
* Participate to the regulatory watch in order to determine the applicability and actionability of upcoming Belgian and European legal changes.
* Ensure global and local Compliance policies and procedures are reviewed and updated on a timely basis, incorporating regulatory changes and industry best practices.
* Help maintain a Compliance staff awareness culture by providing appropriate training to staff.
Profile
* Relevant experience in the financial sector of at least 3 years in Compliance related processes and matters (MiFID, consumer duties, consumer protection).
* Team player committed to demonstrate high integrity in all dealings with colleagues at country and regional (Compliance) level.
* Administratively well-organized & mentality of proactively addressing issues in a “risk based approach”.
* Able to identify issues and solutions or opportunities, as well as to build efficacy in control programs.
* Able to handle all oral and written communications in the national languages (French and Dutch) and in English.
