Are you an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor looking for a new challenge?

Due to expansion, we are recruiting! Join our new project at our site in Mechelen and be part of a dynamic and growing team.

As a Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for the efficient daily operation of Business Support department, with a focus leading a team of customer service administrators and our quality and inventory team.

• Leading a team of 5 direct and 10 indirect reports in a fast-paced environment
• Work Monday to Friday, office hours
• Fluent in English and Dutch is a plus
• You have strong customer engagement abilities
• Process and continuous improvement mindset
• Report to our Business Support Manager

What You Do On a Typical Day

As a Inventory Control Supervisor, you play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. You maintain expert knowledge of customer service and inventory policies and procedures while driving strong customer engagement and delivering top service quality:

• With a proactive approach to problem-solving, you investigate and resolve complex or long-standing customer issues in a timely manner. You collaborate with managers and clients to identify and implement service improvements, ensuring continuous growth and efficiency.
• Your responsibilities also include overseeing daily and weekly reporting, optimizing department processes, and managing system upgrades or enhancements through coordination, analysis, and testing.
• As a supervisor, you focus on developing and coaching your team, ensuring they perform at their best.
• You set and achieve customer service KPIS, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• With a strong background in customer service expertise, process improvement, and efficiency, you play a vital role in enhancing both customer satisfaction and business performance.
• A solid knowledge of inventory processes and stock reconciliation procedures to ensure order fulfilment and avoid out of stocks
• Food Safety and hold procedures are crucial

What do you need to succeed at GXO?

• Multicultural Awareness - You have the ability to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, supply chain management, or business administration, alternatively experience
• 3-4 years’ experience within a similar business support supervisor role or an experienced team leader ready to take the next step
• Fluent in English and Dutch is a plus
• Customer engagement and strong motivational expertise
• Strong communication skills
• Prioritization skills
