Purpose of the Role
* Develop, test, and implement high-quality IT programs aligned with business and technical requirements.
* Ensure integrated systems are user-friendly, performant, and maintainable.
* Act as a technical reference within the development environment, ensuring standards and timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Development
* Design, write, test, and improve programs based on detailed technical or functional specifications.
* Conduct integration, regression, and performance testing to verify application consistency and proper interaction with other components.
2. Technical Design
* Translate functional analyses into technical designs, providing a documented architectural framework for implementation.
* Engage directly with business stakeholders (when required) to capture and interpret business requirements.
3. IT Testing & User Acceptance
* Support IT teams during System Testing and End-to-End Testing phases.
* Contribute to the creation and support of a user acceptance test (UAT) environment.
* Assist business users during UAT and analyze test results and defects to make necessary adjustments.
4. Implementation & Support
* Deploy new programs, configuration changes, and technical documentation while ensuring minimal disruption.
* Consider cross-domain impacts and align with business stakeholders as needed.
* Provide technical guidance and support for strategic implementation projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Languages
* Excellent English communication skills.
* Proficiency in French or Dutch is a mandatory
Technical Expertise (Must-Haves)
* University degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
* Strong experience in creating technical analysis (UML preferred).
* Proven hands-on development experience in a Guidewire environment.
* ACE certification in PolicyCenter.
* Deep expertise in PolicyCenter configuration and integration.
* Solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
* Proficiency in JavaScript and ReactJS.
Desirable Experience (Assets)
* Familiarity with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* Background in the insurance sector, particularly in Billing and Accounting.
* Certification in BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, or Integration.
* Understanding of Guidewire Digital Portals.
Nice to Have
* Experience with logging and monitoring tools like Datadog or Kibana.
* Knowledge of PRINCE2 project management methodology.
* Familiarity with modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect.
