As a Fiber Project Negotiator, you will join the Network Construction & Roll-out team responsible for deploying the fiber network.
Your primary mission is to unblock complex situations on site where previous attempts to reach an agreement with building owners or syndics were unsuccessful. You will combine negotiation skills, technical understanding, and stakeholder management to secure agreements allowing fiber installation in multi-dwelling units (MDUs).
You will work closely with internal technical, legal, and commercial teams, as well as external stakeholders, to deliver feasible solutions aligned with standard guidelines or approved exceptions.
Location: Ghent – East Flanders, Belgium
Key Responsibilities
* (Re)negotiate with building owners and/or syndics regarding proposed fiber routes and required adaptations
* Review and analyze historical commercial interactions and previous negotiation outcomes
* Collect, assess, and analyze technical information related to buildings
* Conduct on-site negotiations using technical, legal, and commercial arguments
* Propose and align tailored technical solutions to enable agreement
* Attend and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders
* Investigate and respond to administrative, technical, and commercial inquiries from building owners
* Ensure proper documentation and internal feedback loops for selected technical solutions
* Align internally when proposed solutions deviate from standard technical guidelines
* Ensure formalization of agreements, consolidate approvals, and assess confidence levels for “Go for Construction”
Profile
Experience & Knowledge
* Proven negotiation experience (mandatory)
* Basic knowledge of real estate
* Basic knowledge of telecommunications is an asset
* Strong understanding of fiber optics and MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) environments
* Experience working with building owners and syndics
* Prior experience with Proximus is a strong plus (process and operational knowledge)
