Job Description:
As a Senior Business Risk Consultant, you will play a key role in helping organizations identify and manage risks and controls. Your expertise will ensure that their strategies and operations align with their objectives. You will provide independent, critical advice to develop tailored internal control frameworks and optimize business processes.
Collaborating with experienced professionals, you will engage in various risk-related services, including Internal Audit, Internal Control, Third-Party Assurance, and Risk Management. This position is based in our Zaventem office within the Risk Advisory department, which consists of 50 team members in Belgium.
What will you be doing?
As aSenior Business Risk Consultant, your key responsibilities will be :
* Prepare, execute and report on Internal audit, internal control and risk management engagements;
* Coordinate and review work performed by junior colleagues;
* Assess business processes from a risk and control point of view;
* Lead client meetings and interviews;
* Write and/or review reports;
* Add value to clients by formulating pragmatic and tailored recommendations
* Manage multiple concurring projects & ensuring timely delivery
* Serve as a mentor and trusted advisor to junior team members, empowering them to excel and driving their careers forward
* Drive innovation by introducing fresh ideas in project execution and product development.
* Participate in business development such as networking events and proposal writing.
What do you bring to the table?
* Education: Master’s degree in Business Economics or equivalent.
* Experience: 3-5 years in Internal Audit, Control, or Risk Management.
* Skills: Proficient in COSO Framework. Experience with SOX is an asset.
* Language skills : strong communication in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
* Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks independently.
* Interpersonal Skills: Capable of simplifying complex concepts for clients.
* Tech Savvy: Familiarity with audit tools and AI is a plus.
* Mindset: Ownership-driven, pragmatic, team player
* Flexibility : Willing to travel as needed, both within Europe and internationally, and adaptable to diverse client environments
