Tasks and responsibilities:

At Bleckmann, we drive logistics excellence through engineering and innovation, focusing on warehousing and supply chain optimization. Bleckmann initiated its automation journey and aims to make the most of it. In the past, Bleckmann developed advanced optimizers as microservices to enhance standard applications like Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

The Product Owner - Automation Systems Optimization will play a critical role in defining and managing the functional requirements of our Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and Warehouse Control systems (WCS). This includes gathering business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable specifications, and ensuring successful system implementation.

The Product Owner works closely with several departments such as IT, Engineering, automation implementation, business operations, external vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure the system design supports operational efficiency and aligns with strategic business goals. The role covers product design, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation control processes.

By driving the development of automation systems, the Product Owner supports cost reduction, operational scalability, and the overall innovation agenda at Bleckmann. This ensures that our warehouse operations stay ahead of technological advancements, delivering top-tier logistics solutions to our clients.

Profile:

Technical Expertise:

* Business Understanding: Ability to thoroughly understand business needs and translate them into IT functional requirements.
* Futureproof Architecture: Experience in proposing and designing scalable, evolutive, and futureproof system architectures.
* IT Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to collaborate with IT infrastructure and architects for system feasibility and scalability.
* Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing system performance data and translating insights into actionable improvements.
* Agile Expertise: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
* Technology Familiarity: Familiarity with APIs, integration methods, and microservices used in automation systems.


Experience & Education:

* Professional Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in product ownership, process improvement, or automation in warehousing or logistics.
* Educational Background: Degree in Industrial Engineering, IT, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

* Innovative and Creative Thinking: Ability to think outside the box, coupled with a keen attention to detail, ensuring solutions are both inventive and practical.
* Driven and Structured: Demonstrates a can-do mindset, structured approach to problem-solving, and the drive to complete projects efficiently.
* Independent and Hands-on: Exhibits a proactive and self-starting attitude, capable of working independently and adopting a hands-on approach to tasks.
* Customer-Oriented: Focuses on understanding and meeting customer needs, ensuring solutions are tailored and effective.
* Collaborative Mindset: Excellent team player, able to work with diverse stakeholders across technical and operational domains.


Communication Skills:

* Language Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch, facilitating clear and effective interaction both within the company and with external partners.

Additional Requirements:

* Interest in New Technologies: A high interest in staying abreast of the latest technologies and innovations.
* Mobility: Possession of a driving license and willingness to travel ad-hoc, accommodating project requirements and client meetings.
