To continue its ambitious expansion, HybriX Energy is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager – Grid-Scale Battery Storage (Belgium & Europe) to join our enthusiastic and dynamic team, passionate about battery storage projects and dedicated to make a positive impact on the environment. As a Business Development Manager – Grid-Scale Battery Storage (Belgium & Europe), you will be responsible for originating, structuring, and advancing grid-scale battery projects from early-stage opportunity identification through to ready-to-build status. Your key responsibilities will be as follows: Identify and originate new BESS development opportunities in Belgium and selected European markets (greenfield, co-development or acquisition) Analyse grid capacity, congestion zones, and flexibility market dynamics to define viable project locations Develop and maintain strategic relationships with TSOs, DSOs, landowners, industrial partners, and local stakeholders Lead negotiations for land agreements, option contracts, exclusivity agreements, and partnership structures Define and execute market entry strategies for selected European countries Coordinate and support grid connection applications and engagement with transmission system operators Work with local authorities and advisors to secure necessary permits and regulatory approvals Support investment and financing discussions Build and maintain a high-quality development pipeline aligned with company growth targets Support preliminary business case assessments for new projects Monitor regulatory developments and market evolution across Belgium and Europe Represent HybriX Energy at industry events, with institutional partners, and in strategic discussions Ensure alignment between commercial strategy, technical feasibility, and project execution teams Your profile Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Renewable Energy or similar by experience Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, project development, or strategic roles within large scale renewable energy projects or energy infrastructure Strong understanding of electricity markets, flexibility services, and grid structures Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing external partnerships Proven ability to originate complex infrastructure projects Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable operating in a scale-up environment Strong analytical capabilities Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and drive initiatives from concept to execution Excellent communication and negotiation skills Fluent in English and Dutch (additional European languages are a plus) Willingness to travel within Belgium and Europe Our offer offer A key strategic role in a fast-growing independent BESS developer Direct impact on the European expansion strategy of HybriX Energy High level of autonomy and responsibility Dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment with short decision lines Opportunity to shape market entry strategies in new European countries Competitive remuneration package including performance-based incentives Company car and mobility package Hybrid and flexible working structure
