Construction Lead Supervisor (Ground Works) – Belgium

We are partnering with a leading international project and cost management consultancy to appoint a Construction Lead Supervisor (Ground Works) for a flagship Hyperscale Data Centre project in Belgium.
If you live on site, know your way around deep excavations, foundations and drainage, and are comfortable leading subcontractors on complex packages, this will interest you.
The opportunity
You will take ownership of all ground works on a major commercial / industrial construction site, including:
* Ground works oversight – Supervise excavation, foundations, drainage systems and underground utilities installation.
* Site coordination – Lead and coordinate subcontractors and ground works teams, keeping everything aligned with programme and interface constraints.
* Quality control – Monitor workmanship and materials, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, drawings and local regulations.
* Health & Safety leadership – Enforce safety protocols, carry out regular inspections and stop work where needed. You set the tone on site.
* Progress monitoring – Track daily progress, resolve issues early and provide clear updates to the project manager and wider team.
* Stakeholder liaison – Work closely with engineers, consultants and client representatives, keeping communication tight and factual.

You will be part of a collaborative, high calibre team working on complex projects across Europe, with real visibility and impact.
What we are looking for
You are likely to be an experienced Site Manager / Supervisor with a strong ground works background on large projects:
* Proven experience supervising ground works packages on sizeable commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects.
* Solid understanding of geotechnical works, excavation, foundations, drainage and underground services.
* Comfortable managing subcontractor gangs and driving performance against programme and quality targets.
* Strong grasp of HSE on heavy civil works, with a track record of proactive risk management on site.
* Familiarity with Belgian construction regulations and environmental standards is a clear advantage.
* Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
* Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
* Safety certifications (e.g. VCA, OSHA or equivalent) are preferred.
This is not a first step up into supervision. We are looking for someone who has already led complex ground works and is comfortable being the go-to person for this scope.
