About Our Client
Our client is an international group active in the Biopharma sector, with modern offices in Brussels. You will join a French-speaking team where a positive atmosphere prevails, and report directly to the Group CFO. As Head of Accounting, you will supervise a team of 2 accountants.
Job Description
* Supervision of a team of 2 senior accountants
* Supervision and finalization of accounting for 2 Belgian entities of the group (BEGAAP)
* Tax management for these two entities (VAT, ISOC)
* Regular reporting for two entities (NBB, quarterly group reports, etc.) in direct collaboration with the Senior Business Controller
* Key point of contact with legislator, external auditors, IT, etc.
* Assistance with internal audit and improvement of accounting procedures
* Participation in ad-hoc projects (M&A, implementation of new IT tools, etc.)
The Successful Applicant
* Bachelor's degree in accounting (Master's degree an asset)
* Excellent level of French and good level of English (Dutch is an asset for this position)
* Proven experience in managing an accounting team
* At least 7 years' experience in A-Z accounting, in BEGAAP
* Attention to detail, process improvement and participative team management are your essential qualities
* You are naturally intellectually curious about related projects (M&A, improving IT tools, etc.)
