Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
• Develop and safeguard the Enterprise Architecture, with a particular focus on Application Architecture, aligned with the new IT strategy and business objectives
• Lead the architectural aspects of the application transformation program, including rationalization, modernization, and potential migration of existing applications
• Define technical and functional roadmaps for the application landscape over the next 5 years
• Establish architectural guidelines and standards, and ensure their adoption and compliance across projects and Agile teams
• Coach System Architects and support them in applying architectural principles
• Act as a trusted advisor and connector between Business, IT Management, internal IT teams, and external partners
• Communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Technical Profile Requirements
• Deep knowledge of application architecture and transformation strategies
• Experience with complex application landscapes, rationalization, and transition to modern architectures
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and CSVLOD
• Knowledge of architectural concepts such as Domain Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, Process Automation, Data Mesh, Event Driven Architecture, Event Storming, Gartner TIME Model, and the 6R's
• Experience with tools such as LeanIX, C4 diagrams, BPMN
Non-Technical Profile Requirements
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor
• Experience in coaching and mentoring architects and senior engineers
• Ability to influence and drive change across the organization
Methodology/Certification Requirements
• Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., TOGAF, SAFE)
Language Proficiencies
• Fluent in Dutch and French
• Fluent in English
Location
• MLOZ/MutualIT guidelines: Minimum 2 days/week onsite presence required
Contract
• Initial contract of 6 months, extension possible
