Functional Analyst (Geospatial / GIS Project)
Namur, Belgium (Hybrid)
Contract: Part-time
We're looking for a Functional Analyst to support a large-scale geospatial platform focused on managing and visualizing geo-referenced images and videos (Street View–like experience).
Key Responsibilities
* Gather and analyze business requirements for a GIS-based platform
* Model processes using BPMN / UML
* Define functional specifications for features like image navigation, filtering, and historical comparison
* Collaborate with dev teams (Angular, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL)
* Support testing strategy (API testing, automation, validation)
* Work with geospatial tools (e.g., Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox)
* Produce clear functional & technical documentation
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Functional Analyst
* Strong skills in requirements analysis & documentation
* Experience with BPMN, UML, and testing methodologies
* Familiarity with web services / APIs
* Knowledge of GIS / geospatial tools
* Fluency in French (C2)
Nice to Have
* Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Jest, Mocha)
* Exposure to data visualization / reporting tools
* Basic experience with Jira
