Job Description: UAT Tester
Type: B2B Contract-Till end of 2026 plus yearly extensions
Location: Brussels
The location can be either 50% onsite in Belgium (onshore rate) or fully remote within the EU, with occasional travel to the Brussels office (travel expenses reimbursed, offshore rate)
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented UAT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our systems by working closely with business analysts, client representatives, and technical teams. This role focuses on manual testing with a future on test automation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with various documentation describing functional and non-functional aspects of the systems (e.g., use cases, user stories).
* Prepare comprehensive test scripts and scenarios for both manual execution and future automation.
* Collaborate closely with client representatives, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate test coverage.
* Execute prepared tests, report defects, and perform retesting to validate fixes.
* Contribute to creating and maintaining a traceability matrix to ensure complete test coverage.
* Participate in test case reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance quality.
* Stay informed about system updates and contribute to ongoing test planning and strategy.
Must-Have Skills:
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a manual tester/test analyst across diverse projects.
* Documentation: Hands-on experience interpreting and extracting test conditions from requirements documentation (e.g., use cases, user stories).
* Test Scenarios: Proven ability to create end-to-end test scenarios and a robust traceability matrix.
* Testing Expertise: Knowledge of conducting test case reviews and test execution.
* Certification: ISTQB Foundation-level certification or equivalent (not mandatory).
* Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating with clients, client representatives, and third-party suppliers.
* Language Skills: English.
* Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience working in Agile environments.
* Knowledge of non-functional testing aspects, such as performance or security testing.
* Any experience of air traffic management would be a bonus
* Any development background would be a bonus
* Possibility to transition into test automation with a relevant background.
