The EPC is looking for a Junior Policy Analyst to join its Social Europe and Wellbeing programme to work on topics related primarily to housing, the demographic transition and the labour market and the future of work. The successful candidate should have a solid academic background and a good understanding of EU institutions. S/he/x should have a good knowledge of EU policy developments; coupled with an interest in engaging in and developing cross-sectoral activities. S/he/x should also have experience in organising policy debates and writing papers on EU policies. JPA contracts are offered for one year with a view to being ready to apply for a Policy Analyst contract after approximately 12 months, depending on the speed of development and the need/budget of the programme. Contracts are offered on a consultancy basis at local market rates. RequirementsThe candidate should have the following profile: University degree in relevant subjects (e.G. EU studies, public policy) Relevant work experience or internships, including in organising events and in policy analysis Demonstrated ability to do and/or strong interest policy analysis and willingness to develop these skills Strong interest in European affairs and commitment to European integration A good understanding of EU policy developments related to the political challenges facing the European Union today Basic Project management skills· Dynamic, flexible, reliable and attentive to detail Fluent in English Ability to work independently as well as in a multi-disciplinary team Ability to engage and network with experts and interested stakeholders Good communication and social skills (oral and written) The main duties are: Supporting projects related to housing, the demographic transition and the labour market and the future of work.
