Job Description
To support our growth ambitions in Europe, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities and acquire new customers, directly contributing to the continued growth of our organization.
Responsibilities
* Together with the Commercial Director, you define and shape the business development strategy.
* You translate this strategy into a concrete go-to-market plan and take ownership of its execution through targeted sales actions.
* You actively expand your network and build awareness, interest, and trust through direct sales initiatives (cold calling and prospection) and by being visibly present at trade fairs, seminars, and industry events.
* You engage directly with C-level decision-makers, convincing them of our value proposition and converting prospects into long-term customers.
* You collaborate closely with the tender team to develop strong, compelling value propositions for prospective customers.
* While your home base is Kallo, Belgium, you spend most of your time in the field with leads, prospects, and potential customers, working closely with your European Business Development colleagues.
Your profile
* Prospecting and networking come naturally to you. You are a true hunter who thrives on initiating conversations and building long-term relationships.
* You work autonomously and can effectively execute a defined go-to-market strategy.
* Daily, you actively connect with and follow up on leads and prospects, ensuring the development and maintenance of a healthy sales pipeline.
* You possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset and are comfortable engaging and building relationships at C-level.
* You have at least 5 years of experience in business development within the contract logistics sector.
* You communicate fluently and professionally in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. French is a strong asset.
* You are willing to travel on a regular basis (approximately 20–25%).
