Payroll Officer (Senior)
We are partnering with a leading international organisation operating in specialised engineering and infrastructure sectors. They are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team and take ownership of payroll operations across a diverse employee population.
Manage and maintain personnel data, including social documentation, holiday entitlements, and contract changes
Support personnel administration through professional and timely correspondence
Collaborate with HR to prepare and validate monthly payroll calculations
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing via internal and external systems
Maintain and update employee data within payroll platforms
Coordinate with insurance providers regarding employee benefits, sickness, and leave payments
Act as a point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees
Work closely with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers to resolve issues and improve processes
Proven experience in payroll processing (7+ years preferred)
Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with numerical data
Experience with payroll systems, processes, and administration best practices
Familiarity with complex benefits structures and tax frameworks
Solid understanding of employment law, social security, and taxation principles
Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative mindset
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, including finance and external partners
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Personnel Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Languages
Fluency in Dutch required
Good working knowledge of English and/or French is advantageous
