We are looking for a Sea Logistics Import - Operational Care Specialist to join our dynamic Sea Logistics Team at our Antwerp office.
The Sea Logistics Import Operational Care Specialist is part of a team in the Operational Care Centre responsible for coordinating transport activities, executing the requisite data entry and generating the required documentation and liaising with our Customer Care team to ensure requirements are met. All of these activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing sea transport and associated national protocols. This role specifically focuses on handling FCL import operations.
How you create impact
1. Creating and completing shipment details in our internal data management system (Carrier/Vessel, Item description, etc).
2. Building and maintaining a strong partnership with key carriers and vendors.
3. Preparing files, gathering all necessary information from customers and carriers to arrange customs and transport formalities in cooperation with our in house brokerage and intermodal team.
4. Reviewing alignment of shipping instructions including to clarify any deviations/conflicts taking country regulations, compliance and rate and routing information into consideration.
5. Monitoring operational performance of carriers and other vendors such as warehouse & customs/intermodal services.
6. Working closely with Customer Care, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations.
7. Supporting the Customer Care team in resolving complaints.
What we would like you to bring
8. Proven experience in sea logistics or a related department is a pré, recent graduates in logistics studies are also welcome.
9. Knowledge of freight forwarding is recommended.
10. Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
11. Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adept at prioritization and quick adaptation.
12. Effective problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
13. Languages: Fluency in Dutch and English, spoken and written is a must. Has strong communication skills and can work accurate.
14. Eager to learn and develop strongly within Sea Logistics with an unlimited motivation.
