Senior Financial Planning Manager
You will be part of a dynamic team within the Finance department, responsible for creating enterprise value by generating actionable insights to support strategic decision making. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department while driving strategic improvements.
This position is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly management reporting, managing the annual budget process, and identifying and implementing process and system enhancements. Additionally, you will serve as a key advisor of Finance leadership, leading ad hoc projects and providing analytical support for strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely management reports.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
Manage the annual budget process, including coordinating with various stakeholders to consolidate budget submissions and prepare budget presentations.
Deliver accurate and insightful quarterly forecasts, incorporating business insights and market trends.
3. Process & System Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate FP&A processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Lead efforts to implement and optimize FP&A systems, including developing and maintaining documentation for FP&A processes and systems.
4. Strategic Support:
Serve as a key advisor of the VP of FP&A and Finance leadership, providing analytical support for strategic initiatives.
Lead or participate in ad hoc projects, conducting financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
5. Team Management & Development:
Mentor and develop FP&A team members.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications:
6. Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
7. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in FP&A or related financial roles.
8. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
9. Experience with financial planning systems, preferably Oracle EPM.
10. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
11. Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
12. Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
13. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and other financial software tools.
14. Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and contribute to business strategy development.
15. Experience in an international environment is a plus.
16. Sense of initiative and flexible attitude.
17. Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
