Your new role As an experienced .NET Developer, you will focus primarily on backend development in .NET, complemented by tasks such as optimizing existing systems and performing technical code reviews related to web development.You will contribute to decommissioning and change projects, support technical analyses, and help deliver stable, high‑quality applications within a complex IT environment. Your profile A senior developer (10 years of experience) with strong technical expertise, precision, and a solution‑oriented mindset. You work in a structured way, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively within a team both in English and Dutch. Your Responsibilities & Required Expertise Develop software in .NET (C#) with a strong focus on backend development Work on decommissioning, change and optimization initiatives Perform code reviews, mainly on web-related technologies Maintain and further develop existing .NET Framework applications Execute component and integration tests Prepare and maintain technical documentation and technical analyses Provide 3rd‑line support within a complex application landscape Participate in sprint meetings and present demos to stakeholders Conduct independent technical research Work effectively in Agile & DevOps environments and collaborate with offshore teams. Required Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Windows Services, WCF/SOAP, T‑SQL & stored procedures, XML, JSON, REST, WSDL, and client‑server architectures Experience hosting and managing applications in IIS 10 Experience developing and deploying Windows Services Solid background in object‑oriented design and relational database modeling Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, and test automation tools such as SoapUI Nice‑to‑haves Certification AZ‑204 or AZ‑305, or willingness to obtain one Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms, Web API, or Silverlight Basic understanding of unit testing principles, stubs & drivers Experience in the insurance sector is an asset What you need to do now Are you an experienced .NET Developer who enjoys working on challenging backend projects within a hybrid environment?
