The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications in compliance with Clarus methodology and user requirements. The role contributes to the evolution of internal systems through collaboration with cross‑functional teams and active participation in Agile development processes. The professional will play a key role in ensuring quality, functionality, and efficiency within an IBM‑based technical environment.
Responsibilities
Concept, develop, or adapt applications according to business and functional analysis.
Design end‑to‑end solutions in collaboration with other teams.
Ensure a clear understanding of all requirements and translate them into technical architecture.
Write, test, and document software following Agile and Test‑Driven Development practices.
Report and propose solutions for potential issues or changes.
Conduct quality assurance, write test scenarios, and perform end‑user testing.
Document test results and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
Contribute to team development through coaching and training.
Technical skills
Must have
Expert‑level knowledge of Java programming.
Strong experience with IBM environment, MQ, IIB, and Web Services.
Solid understanding of Agile methodology and object‑oriented design.
Experience with tools such as JIRA and SVN.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Should have
Knowledge of SPARX or equivalent development tools.
Experience with process improvement and change management.
Strong leadership and project coordination skills.
Ability to train and mentor other team members.
Proficiency in French and/or Dutch.
Availability for at least 2 days onsite per week.
Nice to have
Advanced coursework or continued education in technical disciplines.
Familiarity with quality management frameworks or certifications.
