**Competition Economist Role Summary**
As a senior competition economist, you will play a key role in managing client relationships and leading multiple project teams of economic consultants researching corporate and financial wrongdoing. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in antitrust economics and work on high-profile cases involving major companies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Oversee antitrust projects and manage project teams of economic consultants.
* Conduct detailed economic analysis of antitrust allegations as part of consulting mandates.
* Produce comprehensive reports summarizing key findings in a clear and concise manner.
* Manage client relationships proactively.
* Help manage the team to ensure innovative ideas are researched and delivered for project pipeline.
* Present and explain proposals to potential clients.
* Assist in tracking and allocating resources to achieve business unit goals.
* Coach the team on company processes, writing styles, and analytical methodologies.
**Key Skills and Qualifications:**
* Proven experience at a competition agency, sector regulator, or economic consultancy.
* A PhD in Economics is preferred, ideally from a reputable university.
* Bilingual French and English.
* Experience dealing directly with clients (law firms and/or regulators).
* Ability to communicate complex issues effectively in simple terms.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency in programming languages like Python or R desirable.
* Strong project organization skills, able to meet deadlines.
* A high level of integrity with a creative and curious mind.
