The Klinken Percussie Festival returns with an exciting new theme: percussion and circus. It is to be organised on the 23rd of May u - 21u) at Blikfabriek in Hoboken, Antwerp. The festival offers a diverse, interactive and accessible programme of performances and workshops that combines artistic quality, entertainment and education to engage a diverse audience—who reside locally or in different regions from Belgium.
Based on creativity, diversity and interdisciplinarity are the three main pillars of the festival, our mission is to promote and and support the development of interdisciplinary percussion music projects, and connect artists and audiences of different backgrounds to inspire each other.

The Bracket Percussion Is Delighted To Announce The Klinken Percussie Festival On 23 May 2026 At The Blikfabriek, And We're Looking For Circus Artists To Join Us Two Ways To Get Involved
Perform a 10-minute act with live music
We're seeking circus acts (around 10 minutes) that incorporate live music elements. Percussion is preferred but we are happy to see the diversity of live music input. This is the perfect opportunity to try out new work or have your act professionally filmed in front of a live audience.
Spontaneous live collaboration
Love improvisation? We're looking for adventurous circus artists to collaborate with student percussionists and music academy teachers. Come as yourself — we'll pair you up on the day (or beforehand) for spontaneous creative flow
Please note: we cannot accommodate aerial rigging or aerial equipment requirements.

Artist Profile – Who Are We Looking For?
Open to working with percussionists or other live musicians
Open to experimentation, musical dialogue, and creative exchange
Comfortable performing in a festival setting (audience are moving around, an industrial venue – Blikfabriek)
Work independently and take creative initiative
Enjoy improvisation and real-time creation (for Option 2 applicants)
Quickly build artistic dialogue without extensive rehearsal (for Option 2 applicants)
Feel comfortable stepping into unexpected combinations (for Option 2 applicants)
Open-minded, playful, and collaborative
Experience in interdisciplinary work is a plus but not required — curiosity and flexibility are key. Both emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply.

Selected artists will receive an Amateur Arts Fee (Amateurkunstenvergoeding) or a volunteering fee in accordance with Belgian regulations. Maximum 80 euros per participant.
Meals and snacks are included.
