For our General Applications department at our office in Brussels (near the train station and subway), we’re looking for a Team Leader IT - General Applications (m/f/x).
The ICT Applications division supports Fluxys' various business activities: General Applications deals with the Group's non-gas-related activities (finance and accounting, HR, communication, document management, etc.), while Asset Management handles Fluxys' gas assets (engineering, construction, maintenance, supervision, …) and Gas Flow Management focuses on the commercial operation of the network (e.g. contracting, nomination, flow planning, allocation, invoicing, publication, communication).
Job Purpose
The General Application division delivers reliable and efficient digital solutions that enhance productivity and support the organization in achieving its goals. As a team leader, you will ensure that the team is well-organized and efficient, delivering high value while acting as a trusted partner.
Your Responsibilities
* You lead, support, coordinate, and inspire a team composed of internal employees and external consultants, including analysts, developers, project managers, and subcontractors as needed. You empower your team by removing obstacles that hinder performance.
* You supervise the team while being attentive to its well-being and performance, providing constructive feedback when needed and supporting the creation and implementation of development plans.
* You organize your team by embracing and further implementing Agile best practices, creating a dynamic and collaborative environment. You actively monitor progress and ensure the quality of services delivered.
* You ensure alignment with stakeholders by clearly defining expectations and priorities. You build strong relationships and keep everyone on the same page to drive shared success.
* You define the team’s strategy and action plan, setting a clear direction for success. You tackle key topics: optimizing the application landscape, evaluating Build or Buy approaches, and ensuring the team composition aligns with business needs.
* You oversee budgets and contracts within your scope, including those for external consultants, software, and fixed-price agreements.
* You take ownership of managing the team's portfolio, strategically assigning project leads, ensuring smooth execution, and maintaining alignment across all initiatives.
* You ensure company policies are effectively implemented and followed.
About You
* You hold a Master’s degree in IT or have gained equivalent experience.
* You have 3 years of experience in Team Leadership or Project Management within a complex environment.
* You are experienced in Agile best practices and know how to implement them effectively.
* You possess excellent interpersonal skills.
* Your communication skills are top-notch, and you are customer- and stakeholder-focused.
* You bring a positive mindset, enthusiasm, and a drive to lead change.
* Your strategic thinking allows you to see the big picture while remaining hands-on.
* You possess a keen analytical mind.
* You are fluent in English and French OR Dutch, with a strong willingness to learn the other national language.
