, with the possibility of renewal for an additional six months. The internship is remunerated in line with the standards of European Institutions internships, ensuring competitive compensation. Benefits include holidays (number of days depending on the internship duration), meal vouchers with a face value of €8 per worked day, and a transport allowance.
ABOUT EUROGAS
Eurogas is an association of over one hundred organisations across Europe, the US and Japan, spanning the entire length of the gases value chain. Its members cover wholesale and retail gas markets, the distribution of natural, renewable and low-carbon gases and their derivatives and the use of gases in transport, heating and other end-use sectors.
Eurogas is committed to accelerate the transition to climate neutrality through dialogue and advocacy on optimising the use of gases. Together with its members it produces research, responds to consultations, provides input to studies, analyses the impact of EU political and legislative initiatives, and communicates key findings to EU stakeholders. An established structure of expertise ensures that Eurogas' views are defined and endorsed by experts in the energy field.
We advocate for an approach ensuring an environmentally sustainable and socially acceptable energy transition guaranteeing Security of Supply. With appropriate incentives in place, EU gas demand can be fully decarbonised already before 2050.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Monitoring international, EU and specialist media for key developments relating to the gas sector and Eurogas.
* Researching, mapping and tracking engagement with media stakeholders.
* Contributing to the drafting of press releases, opinion pieces, talking points and other collateral to support media engagement.
* Pitching stories to known and new journalist contacts.
* Support digital policy communications and content development.
* Support event communications including promotion on social channels.
* Support publication of communications and policy materials on the Eurogas website.
* Contributing to the drafting of our Molecules newsletter.
* Coming up with new story ideas, brainstorming concepts, working with the Policy team to identify newsworthy developments.
* Support communication activities linked to other projects that Eurogas supports including Eastern Lights and the European Net Zero Alliance.
* Support ongoing member communications and onboarding of new members.
* Ad hoc support to the Events team, including set-up and note-taking for events.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Strong interest in the EU media landscape and corporate communications
, including traditional media and social media, ideally with prior experience in a similar role.
- Strong written skills
, with experience of drafting original content and communications, including thought pieces, press releases, social media posts, and newsletter articles.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
able to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively.
- Comfortable pitching and networking
, with an appetite to land coverage and grow a network of contacts.
- Comfortable with online social media and interest in building online campaigns;
previous experience managing social media channels is a plus.
- Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
with a hands-on attitude.
- Excellent command of English
(written and spoken); French or other EU languages are an asset.
- Previous experience in/familiarity with trade associations
is a plus.
- Familiarity with broadcast media and production is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Forms) is a plus.
- Familiarity with design tools (ex. Canva) is a plus.
- Familiarity with website content management is a plus.
- Understanding of or interest in EU energy landscape is a plus.
- Understanding of or interest in the gas sector is a plus.
- Must be Brussels-based; eligible to work in the EU; must have concluded their studies.
