Merchery is born in 2020 from the simple observation that corporate gifts and promotional products are most of the time low quality. This billion $ market is shady, and often made of products people throw away after two weeks. Our vision at Merchery is to offer beautiful, useful, and carefully sourced products that people actually want. To support our ongoing mission and current growth pace, we’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to help support our Markcom team efforts.


The Role


As the company’s Lifecycle Marketer, you will be in charge of coordinating all communications to our users and clients. Our CRM (HubSpot) will be the backbone of all your work, while your goal will be to define how to communicate to our database to drive sales and customer satisfaction. You’ll provide answers to questions such as: how do we make our customer journey seamless? Which messaging to which person, and when? This role is at the cross-roads of Sales, Content, Growth, Product, and Partnerships. Besides strategising our comms for awareness, activation, monetisation and retention, you’ll own the entire execution. Drafting beautifully designed emails with compelling copy, shaping the workflows to support your strategy, and A/B testing key components for constant optimisation. You’ll also be in charge of reporting results to the rest of the team, drafting reports and being able to extract the most important information out of all the data you’ll find.

Note that this role is data-centric, demanding in execution, requires an eye for design, and pivotal for many departments.


Responsibilities


* Ideate, map, and create emailing campaigns for both acquisition and retention, working closely with Sales and Growth
* Strategise and execute the newsletter strategy, depending on the region, demographics, and lifecycle stage of a contact
* Closely monitor and include product updates in comms, featuring new launches, seasonal trends, region-specific best-sellers and more
* Incorporate creative feedback and collaborate hand in hand with our Content Manager for design and comms/content calendar alignment
* Have a full grip on CRM management; shaping workflows, lists, properties, templates, etc.
* Run A/B tests across all most important components to effectively optimise the set up and constantly refine CTAs, messaging, timing and formats
* Take ownership of email deliverability, domain health, and overall database hygiene in our CRM
* Take the lead on new channels such as SMS/ WhatsApp
* Own reporting and performances
* Analyse results and outline the key insights that matter
* Iterate and optimise what has been launched based on data


About you


Experience

* You have 1 year of experience in CRM management, growth, account management, sales or any other customer-facing role (including internships)
* You have a Masters degree in Business, Management, or Economics

Skillset

* You are proficient in CRM tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce, Attio
* Concepts such as lifecycle stages, customer journeys, segmentation and retention mechanics are a normal for you
* You have a proven track record of experience in executing and implementing high-value leadgen campaigns and delivering results
* You are data and results-driven with strong ability to tell a story using data insights and performance results (comfortable with Excel/Sheets & other reporting tools)
* Fluent in English. Languages such as German, French, Dutch or Spanish are a plus!

* You are proactive, love to take the lead on a topic and make it your responsibility to bring it to the next level
* You want to be hands-on keyboard to make things happen
* You have a strong collaborative mindset, are used to working across various teams with different backgrounds
* You have an eye for design, love to be creative and sincerely enjoy writing
* You are tech-savvy, enjoy discovering new tools, automations and playing around with AI
