Job Purpose and Impact
The Regional Packaging Manufacturing Technology Lead will manage a regional team of manufacturing technology professionals supporting all Food EMEA businesses (EOE, SST, CC, Protein, META, Russia). The role will provide technical leadership, direct subject‑matter expertise in packaging manufacturing technology, build and sustain packaging capabilities, support compliance with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), lead digital transformation, and drive innovation, productivity improvement and cost competitiveness in packaging.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and manage the Packaging Manufacturing Technology Team, setting strategic and operational priorities, coaching team members, guiding talent development and making staffing and performance decisions to build a high‑impact capability that supports packaging innovation, compliance and competitiveness across Food EMEA.
Define and deploy the regional roadmap for packaging technology, including high‑performance innovation, industry trend understanding, intellectual property management, productivity improvement portfolio governance and partnership with business and commercial teams to understand customer needs.
Own 2–3 core packaging technology domains (e.g., liquids filling, rigid and corrugated packaging, fat preparation).
Represent packaging technology in EMEA leadership discussions.
Coordinate with global packaging, R&D, regulatory and commercial teams.
Provide manufacturing technology expertise to plants, working with local, governance, other subject‑matter experts, external experts and technical support to capitalize on projects and resolve emerging issues.
Support cross‑functional collaboration and deployment of standardized, safe and scalable packaging technology solutions.
Ensure regulatory compliance with PPWR.
Support digitalization and data transparency in packaging compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical or related field or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated work experience in packaging – bottling.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and expertise in the specific manufacturing technology area.
Demonstrated supervisory experience.
