The Telenet Business (B2B) Opera Development team is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Agile Development & Improvements team.
As a Business Analyst, you play a key role in maximizing business value by translating business needs into actionable insights, concepts, and solutions. You proactively identify improvement opportunities and serve as the vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Your responsibilities as a Business Analyst
You analyse business needs and opportunities :
* Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to proactively identify business challenges, questions, and opportunities.
* Gather and assess requirements, analysing their impact on existing processes, systems, and tools.
* Consolidate, challenge, and summarize business needs and improvement ideas.
* Provide input for value propositions, business cases, and decision-making processes.
You define and facilitate solution direction :
* Work closely with architects and technical experts to explore, evaluate, and select potential solutions.
* Assess the organizational, financial, and procedural implications of each solution.
* Support and guide strategic and operational decision-making to ensure smooth business operations.
You document and align the chosen solution
* Document the selected solution, ensuring quality, completeness, and full legal compliance.
* Clearly explain the solution to technical teams for implementation.
* Define business requirements, user stories, and process documentation, validating them with business stakeholders.
* Maintain up-to-date documentation, procedures, and training materials related to business processes and data.
You oversee validation and implementation :
* Define acceptance criteria and approve the complete solution together with stakeholders.
* Support stakeholders in executing tasks, activities, and change management.
* When applicable, participate in solution testing and validation.
You act as a trusted expert and point of contact :
* Serve as the domain expert for internal stakeholders and external partners/vendors.
* Ensure consistent knowledge management and documentation for your business domain.
* Provide data-driven insights, analyses, and reports to support operational and strategic decisions.
Our ideal Business Analyst
You are a structured problem-solver who enjoys bridging business needs and technology. You have:
* a bachelor's or master's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience
* strong analytical skills and the ability to translate theory into actionable business solutions
* technical/IT affinity and experience with process modelling, management, and documentation
* excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* proficiency in Dutch and English
* availability to work on-site at least 2 days per week (mainly Ghent area)
