Freelance Business Controller – Brussels

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Controller to support a leading international organisation based in Brussels. In this role, you will act as a key finance partner to the business, providing insight, analysis, and decision support to drive performance and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a finance business partner to senior stakeholders across multiple departments
* Lead the monthly closing process, including variance analysis and reporting
* Prepare and deliver financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans
* Provide clear, data-driven insights to support business decision-making
* Analyse financial performance and identify risks and opportunities
* Support cost control initiatives and monitor operational efficiency
* Drive improvements in financial processes, tools, and reporting
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, commercial, and supply chain
Profile
* Proven experience as a Business Controller / Finance Business Partner
* Strong background in FP&A, reporting, and financial modelling
* Experience working in a multinational or complex environment
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
* Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus
* Fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is an advantage)
