Description Division: Group Business Solutions (GBS) Within GBS, you will join the Solutions Architecture team in the Software Engineering Tribe. Here, you will play a crucial role in defining the target architecture and designing end-to-end solutions for initiatives across various GBS domains with a focus initially on Collateral Management and Funds domain (initially focusing on Collateral Management) and actively participate in the evolution of the Solution Architecture Practice. Role responsibilities Architectural Leadership: Define and implement end-to-end architecture solutions for IT initiatives, ensuring they meet functional, non-functional, and security requirements. Collaboration: Work with requirement owners, domain architects, and IT engineers to build high-quality solutions. Integration: Bridge the gap between Enterprise Architecture and IT delivery teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and domain target architectures. Community Contribution: Develop reusable solution patterns and building blocks and actively participate in the evolution of Solution Architecture and Software Engineering practices. Technology Expertise: Apply hands-on technology and delivery experience to define domain target architectures and roadmaps focussed on the Collateral Management and Funds domain. Knowledge Sharing: Engage in communities of practice with other architects to share standard methodologies and lessons learned. Profile requirements Experience: Extensive experience in the IT industry, particularly as a solution architect on large-scale transformation projects. Agile and DevOps: Experience with large-scale agile projects and DevOps practices, including CI/CD. Knowledge of agile working at scale and methods such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) would be beneficial. Architectural Skills: Proficiency in Event Driven and Service-based architectures, microservices, and RESTful APIs. Technical Knowledge: Experience with .NET/Java Familiarity with Mainframe in general. Familiarity with integration and data technologies, and experience with JavaScript front-end frameworks like Angular is advantageous. Familiarity with Cloud also beneficial. Complex Problem Solving: Ability to handle complex systems and problems across functions, locations, and organizations. Autonomy: Capable of conducting architectural analysis and providing pragmatic suggestions with minimal mentorship and know when to escalate. Strategic and Technical Balance: Ability to work on high-level strategic documents and zoom in on technical implementation challenges. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to break down complex problems and provide actionable solutions. Pragmatism: Focus on delivering fit-for-purpose results using a pragmatic approach. Innovation and Change: Identify the need for change and propose innovative solutions to improve IT delivery processes. Communication: Strong communication skills to advocate for architectural recommendations to project teams and senior management. Relationship Management: Ability to build positive relationships. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of post-trade market infrastructures and Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g. Open Agile Architecture or TOGAF) is a plus. Financial Services: Experience in the Financial Services industry and a good understanding of Collateral Management or Funds processes and the related regulatory environments is beneficial. Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required.
