Job Role: Coheres and coordinates all Global Support Organisation (GSO) departments, dispersed across 30 European countries and Türkiye, within the intent of the Comd GSO, in support of 4.5k people.
Key Responsibilities:
1 Deputise as necessary for Comd GSO.
2 Act as the primus inter pares SO1/C1. Specific focus in 'ops' related subject areas but with overview of all to cohere Command effort.
3 Line managership to J2,3,5,6,7 personnel, including tri-Service, Civil Service and LEC staff.
4 Act as primary interlocutor on issues to elevate to HLB level.
5 Primary interlocutor with 40+ OF5 SNR and on Senior Leadership level matters with partner supporting organisations- DIO, DCS & SMO
6 Training Delivery Authority for UK mandated Tri-Service low-threat IPDT Theatre Entry Standards for all NATO HQs.
7 GSO Security Officer responsible for the promulgation of intelligence updates across the AOR
8 Lead crisis response planning for delivery of tactical support to GSO supported personnel and lead the response through SO2 J3J5 and Duty Staff.
