Accountant Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Department. As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reporting, and providing analytical insights to support business decisions.
* Financial Statement Preparation: Balance sheet, profit and loss statement, accounts consolidation, and reconciliation.
* Closing and Reporting: Accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, preparation of VAT/CIT declarations, and statistical reporting.
* Analysis and Audits: Reports/analysis on a monthly basis for other departments, internal and external audits.
* Accounts Payable and Management: Manage vendor accounts, bank statements, and payments.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* A degree in accounting or a related field and minimum 2-3 years of experience in general accounting.
* In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, including Belgian GAAP, and a willingness to learn more.
* Knowledge of VAT/CIT principles and non-deductible costs as an asset.
* An analytical mindset, high level of ownership, and attention to detail.
* Excellent Excel skills.
* Strong communication skills in English.
