Dutch Speaking Accounting Associate

Expected salary range: 35,000-42,000 Euros / 55,000-65,000 USD

The Role
We are looking for a driven professional to join our global team to provide exceptional bookkeeping and payroll services for our clients. The successful candidate will be organized, proactive, enjoy working collaboratively and constructively, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-client environment with increasing responsibility over time.

Duties:
You will have the opportunity to develop and shape a career in accounting. Some of the initial duties you can expect are;
* Liaise with clients and tax agencies in relation to payroll and bookkeeping information
* Record and maintain financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments for multiple clients
* Reconcile bank and company accounts
* Prepare reports and trial balances for accounting managers
* Process payroll
* Assist with tax payment and preparation of sales tax returns
* Assist managers with monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
* Provide operational and coordination support to the accounting team as required
* Opportunity to receive training in sales tax preparation.
* Support communication with Dutch clients.
* Reliably track and record billable client hours on timesheets
* Opportunity to gradually take ownership of more complex accounting responsibilities and review work as experience develops
Skills and experience required:
* Fluent Dutch Speaking
* BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
* Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
* Experience in an international client or expatriate environment
* Fluent English; Excellent verbal and written communication
* 3 years' minimum relevant work experience
* Familiar and adept with accounting software
* Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations, formulas, pivots, and working with large datasets
* Exceptional time management and adherence to deadlines
These additional skills would be advantageous:
* US payroll experience
* Interest in tax accounting
