Interim HR Manager
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to ensure the operational leadership of HR activities while driving key HR projects within a dynamic and evolving organization. This interim assignment combines hands-on HR operations, social relations management, people leadership, and project delivery, with a strong focus on compliance, employee experience, and process optimization.
The successful candidate will quickly become operational, balancing day-to-day HR responsibilities with strategic HR initiatives in a fast-changing digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee and ensure the continuity and efficiency of daily HR operations.
- Manage payroll processes, including controls, coordination with the social secretariat, and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with Belgian social legislation, labor regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Monitor HR-related risks and maintain legal and regulatory compliance.
- Provide operational HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
Social Relations
- Actively participate in and prepare for social consultation bodies, including:
- Works Council
- Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPBW)
- Trade Union Delegation
- Maintain constructive relationships with employee representatives and social partners.
- Advise management on labor relations and employee matters.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and support the professional development of the HR Assistant.
- Foster a service-oriented HR culture focused on employee experience and operational excellence.
HR Projects & Process Improvement
- Lead and contribute to HR projects such as:
- Working time management initiatives
- Implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive
- HR process optimization and digitalization
- HR systems and tools implementation (ATS, time-tracking, insurance management tools, etc.)
- Mobility and fleet management initiatives
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring uninterrupted HR operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external HR service providers to ensure successful project delivery.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on operational HR matters.
- Manage relationships with external HR partners, consultants, and service providers when required.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in operational HR management.
- Proven experience managing payroll processes, including payroll administration, controls, and coordination with a social secretariat.
- Strong background in labor law compliance and HR risk management.
- Experience participating in social consultations and negotiations with employee representatives and social partners.
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, or managing HR team members.
- Experience leading HR transformation and process improvement projects.
- Experience in mobility and fleet management is highly desirable.
- Experience within a non-profit organization is an asset.

Working Arrangement
