VERDON – Industrial EPC | Piping & Mechanical EngineeringAs part of the expansion of our engineering teams, Verdon, an EPC company specialized in complex industrial projects, is looking for a Piping & Structures Stress Engineer to support multidisciplinary projects in energy, oil & gas, chemical, data centers, and pharmaceutical industries .You will join a technically demanding, project-driven environment where engineering excellence, safety, and collaboration are key success factors.
YOUR ROLE :As a Piping & Structures Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for piping flexibility analysis and steel structure calculations, ensuring full compliance with European and international standards .You will work closely with piping designers, structural engineers, and project managers to guarantee mechanical integrity, constructability, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :Piping Stress AnalysisPerform stress and flexibility analyses of industrial piping systemsApply applicable codes and standards:ASME B31.1 / B31.3 / B31.8EN 13480Evaluate:thermal expansionsustained and occasional loadswind and seismic effectsAnalyse nozzle loads on pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment ( API 610, API 661 )Design and validate piping supports (rigid, spring, and dynamic supports)Perform piping stress calculations using CAESAR IISteel Structures & Pipe Support EngineeringDesign and verify steel structures, pipe racks, platforms, and framesApply:Eurocodes EN 1990 / EN 1991 / EN 1993EN 13445Create and interpret FEM modelsPerform load combinations, stability checks, deflection analysis, and buckling verificationPerform structural stress analysis using SCIA and Robot Structural AnalysisDeliverables & CoordinationStress and flexibility calculation reportsPipe support design documentationSteel structure and FEM analysis reportsLoad plans and technical calculation notesFull documentation compliant with PED and client specificationsParticipate in technical reviews and multidisciplinary meetingsCoordinate with internal teams, vendors, engineering partners, and client engineering departments
YOUR PROFILE :Experience & BackgroundEngineering degree with minimum 5 years of experience in piping stress analysis and/or structural mechanicsExperience in EPC and industrial project environments is highly valuedTechnical SkillsStrong proficiency with:CAESAR IISCIARobot Structural AnalysisSolid knowledge of:ASME B31 codes, EN 13480 / EN 13445EurocodesAPI 610, API 661 and relevant API standardsSeismic and wind engineering principlesPED complianceSoft SkillsAnalytical, structured, and detail-orientedAble to manage multiple tasks in parallelStress-resistant and deadline-drivenStrong communication and teamwork skillsProactive and solution-focused mindset
LANGUAGES :Fluent English (mandatory)French is a plus
