Your new roleOur client, an international industrial player, is looking for a Technical Buyer to strengthen its purchasing organization within the agricultural sector. In this role, you will support operational purchasing activities, maintain strong supplier relationships and contribute to product availability across global markets.You will join a small and experienced team working with a well‐defined portfolio of technical and agricultural‐related products. While a new long‐term strategy for this product group is being prepared, your focus will be on operational execution, coordination and consistent supplier follow‐up.You will work closely with technicians, purchasers and cross‐functional stakeholders, gradually building insight into technical products and their practical applications.
Main responsibilitiesSupplier & Purchasing SupportMaintain regular contact with suppliers to ensure alignment, continuity and timely follow‐up.Support supplier selection, onboarding and performance assessment.Assist in pricing discussions, negotiations and RFP processes within existing frameworks.Procurement Execution & CoordinationExecute operational purchasing for a clearly defined technical product range.Create purchase requisitions, initiate sample orders and support smooth procurement workflows.Act as a point of contact for operational purchasing questions.Product & Data ManagementMaintain accurate supplier, item and compliance data.Build understanding of the product portfolio, market context and technical characteristics.CollaborationWork closely with technicians and experienced buyers in a duo‐based model.Coordinate with Product Development, Quality, Sales and other internal teams.Contribute to a calm, structured and collaborative team environment.
Your profileStrong commercial mindset with solid negotiation skills.Clear communicator, extravert and comfortable with frequent supplier contact.Structured, organized and reliable in follow‐up and coordination.Technical affinity required; in‐depth technical expertise is not mandatory.Team‐oriented and able to build and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
LanguagesFluent in English and French .Italian is a strong asset.
