The project:
Our client in the insurance industry is looking for a Test Analyst to join their team.
Key responsibilities:
* Contribute to System Testing and User Acceptance Testing for Life Insurance application projects (new products, process updates, system evolutions)
* Work under the responsibility of a Test Coordinator who oversees planning, analysis, design, execution, and reporting of all test activities
* Translate business and functional requirements into clear, structured test scenarios, ensuring full coverage of new developments and impacts on existing systems
* Prepare and organize test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with the defined test strategy
* Use available tools for test follow-up, reporting, documentation, and traceability
* Execute tests efficiently and rigorously to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
* Log, track, and retest defects to guarantee stable and reliable applications
* Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or ambiguities in requirements and proactively raise them with Business Analysts and IT teams
* Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, including opportunities for automation or AI-assisted testing
Is this you?
* Fluent in English
* Fluent in Dutch and/or French
* Proven experience as a Test Officer, Test Analyst, or similar role
* Ability to analyse requirements, assess impacts, and design comprehensive test plan
* Capacity to quickly acquire knowledge of Life Insurance applications and challenge subject-matter experts when needed
* Strong knowledge of application testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
* ISTQB certification (Foundation or higher)
* Experience with Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies
* Interest or experience in modern testing frameworks, test automation and the use of AI in testing (asset)
* Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder - interaction skills.
* Strong analytical mindset and problem - solving abilities.
* Ability to work in a structured, organized, and flexible way to meet challenging deadlines.
