The Opportunity
NORRIQ FS is seeking a Senior/Medior Data Scientist to drive our data analytics and machine learning initiatives while delivering innovative solutions to our financial services clients.
Roles & Responsibilities
Client-Facing Responsibilities:
* Design and implement machine learning solutions for complex business problems
* Conduct exploratory data analysis and create insightful visualizations
* Develop and maintain data pipelines for model deployment
* Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions
* Provide technical guidance on data science best practices
Technical Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain ML models using scikit-learn and other Python libraries
* Implement version control for both code and data using GitLab and DVC
* Create and maintain Jupyter notebooks for analysis and documentation
* Ensure reproducibility of data science workflows
* Optimize existing models and data pipelines for improved performance
* Follow ML ops best practices for model deployment and monitoring
Internal Contributions:
* Contribute to NORRIQ's data science expertise through knowledge sharing
* Participate in proposal writing and solution architecture
* Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
* Stay current with latest developments in data science and ML
Your Profile
Experience: 2-6 years in the following areas:
* Professional experience as a data scientist or ML engineer
* Proven track record of implementing ML solutions in production
* Experience with financial services industry preferred
* Strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning
Technical Skills
* Expert in Python programming and data science libraries
* Proficiency with scikit-learn, pandas, and numpy
* Experience with version control (GitLab) and DVC
* Strong knowledge of Jupyter Lab and notebook-based development
* Understanding of ML ops and deployment practices
* Experience with SQL and data manipulation
* Education: Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
* Languages: Fluency in English, and Dutch or French, with at least passive knowledge of the other
