Marketing communications specialist

As a Marketing Communication Specialist, you take the lead in positioning imec across three strategic sectors: Automotive, Industry & Consumer, and Aerospace & Security.

What you will do

As a Marketing Communication Specialist, you turn business priorities into focused marketing communication plans that strengthen imec's visibility, sharpen our positioning, and support gotomarket initiatives to help build strong relationships across the global industry and its ecosystems.

Your role

You act as the central point of contact for the sectors' marketing communication strategy and the central coordination hub within the marketing communications team in the Corporate Marketing and Outreach (CMO) department, representing the different sectors from a marketing perspective.

You work closely with portfolio managers, business leads, partnership managers, and colleagues across CMO. On a daytoday basis, you collaborate closely with a marketing communications colleague who leads the sectors' event activities, ensuring alignment between content, messaging, and strategy.

Your responsibilities

* Develop a clear marketing communications strategy that supports each sector's business objectives and priorities, ensuring focus and alignment with their gotomarket plans.
* Translate each sector strategy into an integrated content and events strategy, working closely with marketing and CMO colleagues to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints (website, social media, events, design, etc.).
* In collaboration with each sector, you create and maintain customer-facing presentations and materials, tailored to the sectors' offerings and its specific gotomarket initiatives.
* Build strong relationships with the sector BD and Portfolio teams, and subject-matter experts to ensure marketing activities reflect sector priorities.
* Shape the positioning and messaging framework, and brief internal and external content creators to ensure highquality content across different formats. (articles, web copy, whitepapers, presentations, videos, animations, and other marketing collateral, etc.).
* Lead the communication approach for each sector's strategic events, aligning strategy, objectives, messaging, and content across all stakeholders.
* Identify and leverage opportunities through industry partners and ecosystems to amplify marketing communications strategy.
* Monitor performance of all marketing activities and provide insights and recommendations.

Who you are

You combine strategic thinking with a handson mindset, and you're comfortable navigating a dynamic and complex deep-tech environment.

You bring:

* 4+ years of experience in B2B marketing communications, ideally in semiconductors, photonics, or adjacent deep-tech industries.
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A structured, proactive work style, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastchanging environment.
* Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business teams, technical experts, and external partners.
* A curious mindset with the willingness to learn about the sectors' technology offering and positioning.
