ICT Project Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for onsite telecoms queries
* Ensure that all project First of Kinds are completed in a timely manner
* On site supervision of telecoms installation team, including interaction with sub-contractors
* Oversee the onsite fibre and copper structured cabling installation, including but not limited to, fibre splicing / patching / testing, copper termination / testing, installation of network racks, installation of fibre management system
* Ensure compliance with project drawings, cable schedules, project specific specifications and industry standards
* Onsite interaction with other trades (electrical, mechanical etc.)
* Management of onsite safety in conjunction with the project team and the Mercury Safety Advisor including but not limited to, daily inspections of high risk activities, daily inspections of SPAs, ensuring adherence to RAMs / CMOPs
* Attendance at onsite project meetings ( toolbox talks, white board meetings, daily activity briefings etc.)
* Management of onsite QA in conjunction with Mercury QA Manager including but not limited to, daily quality inspections, generation of punch lists, closing out of punch lists
* Ensure progress on project aligns with the project fitout schedule
* Provide regular updates and escalate any delays or design conflicts
* Liaise daily with Project Manager on project progress, risks and conflicts.
* Generate weekly progress reports and issue to Mercury planning team
* Ensure familiarity with the project Bill of Materials and ensure the efficient onsite management of project materials
* Liaise closely with Mercury commissioning team to ensure that all project test results are reviewed and issued to the client on time.
* Liaise closely with Mercury BIM team to ensure that all project as-built drawings are reviewed and issued to the client on time.
* Compile project O&M manuals
Essential Criteria
* 3 years’ experience working in similar role
* Good technical knowledge of copper and fibre structured cabling
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and cable schedules
* Good Computer skills - Windows, MS Office
* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a team
Desirable Criteria
* Vendor certification (Panduit / Corning / AFL / Commscope etc.)
* Telecoms Industry Certification
