We are looking for a motivated and creative trainee to join our Sales & Marketing Benelux team, supporting both Digital Marketing and E-commerce activities.
This traineeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital brand management, online visibility, and e-retail strategy across the Belgian market.
Your Role
As a Digital Marketing & E-commerce Trainee, you will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and the E-commerce Manager to support the execution of Spadel’s digital and e-commerce strategies for the Benelux region.
Your key missions will include:
1️⃣ Digital Marketing Support
* SEO, GEO & Content Management
* Support the execution of SPA’s content strategy: manage the editorial calendar, coordinate content production, proofread, and publish articles on our websites.
* Monitor site performance, analyze traffic results, and suggest improvements to enhance SEO and organic visibility.
* Contribute to the GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) project to improve SPA’s presence on AI-powered search engines.
* Social Media & Influencer Marketing
* Support social media campaign implementation and ensure our pages reflect ongoing brand activations.
* Monitor community management handled by our agencies and follow up on influencer collaborations.
* Bring fresh, creative ideas to strengthen our online presence and engagement with younger audiences.
* Performance & Market Insights
* Assist with campaign performance tracking, competitor analysis, and other ad-hoc marketing projects.
2️⃣ E-commerce Support
* E-content & Retail Platforms
* Ensure that product content on key e-retailer platforms (Delhaize, Carrefour, Colruyt, Albert Heijn, Jumbo, etc.) is up-to-date, impactful, and aligned with brand guidelines.
* Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, e-commerce) and external stakeholders (agencies, clients) to maintain content consistency and quality.
* Search Optimization
* Analyze and improve SPA’s positioning within e-retailers’ search engines using internal and external tools.
* Make data-driven recommendations and propose optimizations to clients where relevant.
* Reporting & Performance Tracking
* Contribute to internal reporting to track KPIs such as market share, scorecards, and ROI of e-commerce activations.
* Website Management
* Support the optimization of our e-commerce websites through content uploads, process improvements, and user testing.
* Knowledge Sharing & Competitive Watch
* Help develop internal documentation summarizing our e-commerce and e-retail strategy.
* Conduct regular competitor monitoring and share insights with the team.
Your Profile
* You are a Master’s or Bachelor’s student in Marketing, Digital Business, Communications, or a related field.
* You are curious, analytical, and proactive, with a strong interest in digital marketing and e-commerce.
* You have good organizational and communication skills.
* You are fluent in English, plus proficient in Dutch and French.
* You are comfortable working with digital tools, analytics dashboards, and content management systems.
