As a part of the Technology & Innovation (T&I) Team, Sibelco’s dedicated Research and Development Division, the Manager Advanced Processing role will empower you to lead a team of highly skilled professionals, including Scientists, Chemists, Chemical Engineers, and Laboratory Technicians. You will oversee and drive research projects across various stages of technological maturity, focusing on process innovation and efficiency enhancements.
Your Impact in This Role
As a Manager-Advanced Processing, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Manage the day-to-day resources, equipment, and manpower economically to achieve the best practical throughput of test work and ensure valid, accurate results are produced in line with the Sibelco laboratory handbook.
2. Manage all Mineral processing projects through all the stages of development and ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Motivate and evaluate the team members to enhance team collaboration and support their individual development and growth.
4. Drive innovation and improvements in advanced processing techniques and technologies.
5. Develop, test, and optimize advanced processing methods to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
6. Make informed decisions on process design, equipment selection, and technology implementation based on thorough technical and economic analyses.
What You Bring to the Table
7. Master’s degree in chemical engineering, or materials science, or chemistry or related field. PhD is a plus.
8. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing teams, projects, and laboratory operations within the mining, minerals, or chemicals industry.
9. Strong problem solver who demonstrated leadership and accountability
