Air Freight Business Development Manager (Mid-Senior Level)

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Department: Air Freight – Sales & Business Development

Reports to: Head of Business Development – Air Logistics, Benelux

Brussels is one of our key gateways in Europe, and we are looking to strengthen our business development team to drive further growth in the Belgian and Benelux markets.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Air Freight Business Development Manager to drive strategic sales initiatives, expand our customer base, and grow revenue across the air freight product portfolio. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions to clients, focusing on high-value industries such as pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, and high-tech.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the air freight sector (standard, express, and charter solutions).
* Develop and implement strategic plans to grow market share and customer portfolio in Belgium and the wider Benelux region.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and industry stakeholders.
* Collaborate with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to build competitive, customer-centric solutions.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

* Minimum 7+ years of experience in air freight sales or business development, ideally within a multinational freight forwarder or logistics provider.
* Solid track record of acquiring and managing medium to large enterprise customers.
* Existing client network and deep knowledge of key Belgian sectors (e.g., pharma, high-tech, aerospace, perishables).
* Fluent in English; fluency in French or Dutch is a strong advantage.
* Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Willingness to travel within Belgium and occasionally across Europe.
