What you do
1. Source and purchase raw materials such as stabilizers, additives, PVC, solvents.
2. Evaluate suppliers based on quality, certifications (REACH), reliability, and cost competitiveness.
3. Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and payment terms to optimize cost and supply stability and related administration.
4. Collaborate closely with production, planning, R&D, and quality teams to align material specifications with product requirements.
5. Resolve supply disruptions, quality deviations, or compliance issues with suppliers.
6. Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier scorecards, and documentation for audits.
7. Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
Who you are
8. You hold a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
9. You have 5 to 10 years of experience in purchasing; experience within the textile industry is a plus.
10. You possess strong negotiation and communication skills.
11. You are experienced with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
12. You have an analytical mindset and can interpret market data and supplier performance metrics.
13. You preferably have knowledge of sustainable sourcing frameworks such as BCI, GRS, or GOTS.
14. You preferably have experience working with international suppliers, particularly in Asia and Europe.
15. You manage your time, deadlines, and priorities efficiently in a dynamic environment.
16. You collaborate smoothly with colleagues across different departments and functions.
17. You have a good understanding of market trends and can translate them into well-informed purchasing strategies.
18. You have a solution-oriented mindset and act proactively when challenges arise.
19. You are skilled at building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.
