Our company is organized around 3 business areas:
Powertrain : in this largest BOSAL division, we design and manufacture emission control systems (cold end + hot end) for passenger cars and heavy duty vehicles (ICE + hybrid)
Chassis : this division comprises a large range of welded and formed products going from seat frames to fuel tanks and air tanks, to towbars and jacks.
Energy : the Energy Conversion business unit of BOSAL designs and manufactures state-of-the-art plate and tube heat exchangers for advanced power generators. We have 20 years’ experience in the area of gas turbines and fuel cell systems, not only as a supplier of components but also as a system integrator.
Currently, we are looking for a Product Development Engineer OE in Lummen (Belgium):
As a product development engineer you’re a part of the Original Equipment (OE) development team that develops exhaust systems, fuel tanks and pressure vessels for a wide range of vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for technical and organizational aspects, with a strong focus on customer communication to ensure alignment on requirements, progress and expectations.
Responsibilities:
Develop OE products with support of the relevant technical experts.
Plan, organize and monitor the product development process in order to achieve the milestones and the deliverables.
Take responsibility and leadership for the problem solving with regard to the product definition. You facilitate consensus and trade-offs in reaching the project goals.
You are responsible for the technical communication. Within this responsibility you support Sales with technical presentations.
Monitor the availability ‘in time and in full’ of the required documentation in line with the existing procedures for the Product Creation Process.
Take responsibility for maintaining the product configuration of your products until the end of life (EOL)
Your profile:
Skills & Experience:
Master degree in (Mechanical) Engineering or equivalent through on the job experience.
At least 5 years’ experience in a product development environment. Experience in automotive is a plus.
Experience with innovation on new products (preferably mechanical products).
You are independent, enthusiastic and proactive. You are also flexible and willing to travel to our factory in the Czech Republic once or twice a year.
Perfect Dutch and English language skills.
