Now,we are looking for a Safety Supervisor in our office in Belgium.
Constructionsite safety supervisors perform a wide range of functions/duties in making surethat construction sites or workplaces are always safe for the daily operationof workers.
What is the role About?
As aSafety Supervisor, you will be responsible of:
·Supervisesday-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace
·Ensures thatworkers make use of necessary protective equipment like helmets, hand gloves,welding shades etc., where and when necessary
·Investigatesaccidents and tackle their causes
·Takes note ofworkers’ safety concerns and immediately acts on them
·Arranges trainingprograms on safety measures within the workplace
·Develops plansfor emergency procedures with the consent of the manager(s) of the workplace
·Receives and actson reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the constructionsite/workplace
·Serves as a linkbetween workers and top management when it comes to issues that have to do withthe safety and proper organization of the workplace
·Introducesmeasures that will help curb accidents within the workplace.
Requirements
1. Degree orcertification of Safety Prevention Counselor level 2 or 1 required (or sooncertificated is also accepted).
2. Fluency in French or Dutch and English is mandatory.Ability to speak another European language is an advantage.
3. Microsoft Office – in-depth knowledge, with anemphasis on Excel skills.
